The Allie Mae Origin Story

**Writing Update–September 29th, 2025**

Greetings everyone! 🙂

At present, I am finishing work on what is likely my best effort to date. It is the sequel to The Cades Cove Series, and at present is getting a final review by a talented editor. Publishing details to follow soon…. I’m keeping the main title a secret for now, but the subtitle for this story is entitled “The Origin Story of Allie Mae”.

As implied in the subtitle, this is the tale of how Allie Mae McCormick became the terrifying wraith featured in Book One of the series. Surprising to me when working on this book is how different she is from the vengeful ghost that launches the Cades Cove saga. I believe you will find her story compelling, as well as the accompanying tale of the ancient deity she befriends in the mysterious ravine located near her family’s homestead in Cades Cove.

Just as Allie Mae is different from her portrayal in the first two Cades Cove books, so is the portrayal of Teutates. Night and day different as compared to the cold, calculating bloodthirsty monster depicted in “The Raven Mocker: Evil Returns to Cades Cove”, it will make more sense to the readers who have enjoyed this series as to why Allie would be drawn to this entity.

Anyway, once the book is finally completed I will decide whether to publish it myself as usual, or pursue something with a much bigger publisher.
